Video shows man getting shot in the buttocks on Bronx street


A gunman walked up to a stranger and shot him in the buttocks on a street in the Bronx this week, causing a disturbance in the new video shows.

Surveillance footage released by police early Thursday showed the suspect walking from the street to the sidewalk on Prospect Avenue and East 165 Street in Foxhurst before 5 a.m. Wednesday.

He shouted, “Yo!” He hit a 36-year-old man from behind, before firing a single shot, police said.

The muzzle flash can be seen in the video.

Police said the suspect fled north toward East 167 Street on Rev. James A. Polite Avenue.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Medical Center in stable condition.
