boris johnson The G7 promised that it was going to vaccinate the whole world.

“He made the bold announcement that, by next year, everyone in developing countries as well as adults in the developed world would be vaccinated.

“But since then, so little has happened that now we are facing the possibility of missing every target.

“Ten percent by September: missed. 40% by December: likely to be missed. 70% by next year: likely to be missed.

“So we have to take immediate action to use these untested vaccines to save lives.

“A million lives have been saved in the UK because of 100 million vaccines. If we get these vaccines to the people who need them, how many more lives could be saved in the rest of the world?”

Challenging about his suggestion of criminality, Mr Brown said: “I was talking about neglect.

“I think it’s a lack of coordination.

“If (US) President Biden, Boris Johnson, Ursula von der Leyen – the president” european Union – (Canadian PM) Justin Trudeau came together, found that he had these unused vaccines that are not being used.

“Even after all the boosters, there are additional vaccines that are not being used and should be thrown out as soon as possible.”

He also suggested that Mr Johnson missed a meeting hosted by Mr Biden to discuss sending vaccines to developing countries and said the PM should answer to the House of Commons about the role he played at that summit .

A Downing Street source told the PA news agency that Prime minister He recalled his speaking location, but said it was because the meeting was running late and he was about to attend a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington Cemetery in Washington, DC.
