Singer helps Meyers revive his show’s ‘Day Drinking’ segment

Appear in new episodes of Lorde Late Night With Seth Meyers where he helped revive the day drinking segment of the show.

While drinking at Zero Bond in New York, Meyers created several cocktails for the singer inspired by her songs (including ‘Solar Power’ and ‘Ribs’) and the pair played a New Zealand slang drinking game.

Other activities included an attempt to portray the cover of Lorde’s previous album, 2017’s ‘Melodrama’, and an animated performance of Lorde’s hit ‘Green Light’, courtesy of Meyers.

In a recurring bit, Meyers tried to remember Lorde’s full name — ella Mariza Lani Yelich-O’Connor — at several points throughout the day.

Lorde released the latest single ‘Stoned at the Nail Salon’ yesterday (July 21), marking the second song to be released from her upcoming album ‘Solar Power’ after its title track last month.

The singer is set to make her live debut of ‘Stoned at the Nail Salon’ later today on The Meyers Show. Last week, she demonstrated ‘Solar Power’ Late Show with Stephen Colbert, is seen on the roof of the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York, where the show was filmed.

Speaking about his new album, which is co-produced by Jack Antonoff, the singer-songwriter said: “The album is a celebration of the natural world, attempting to immortalize the deep, sublime feelings I have when I’m outside. is.

“In times of heartache, grief, deep love or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers. I have learned to exhale and tune in. That’s what happened.”

Lorde will take ‘solar power’ on the road next year, with UK live dates set for May and June. She will perform with The Strokes, Tame Impala and others at Primavera Sound in Barcelona next summer.
