Seth Rollins was attacked by a fan during last night’s broadcast of WWE Raw in Brooklyn.
The 35-year-old American had just competed with Finn Balor as he walked back into the bowels of Barclays Center.
But on the way a bystander ambushed him and attacked him.
The fan cut the guard rail before charging the unsuspecting Rollins.
He was able to take the stricken star to the floor, before security surrounded the incident.
Between them they would eventually pull the attacker on Rollins.
The NYPD immediately informed ESPN that a 24-year-old man had been arrested in connection with the incident and charges were pending.
Alyssa Spencer was later named on charges of attempted assault and attempted infringement of arts and cultural affairs.

Impressively, Rollins kept himself calm during the incident, refraining from fighting back once freed from the fan’s grip.
The live studio audience chanted ‘f*** him up’ as the attacker had a hand of security.
WWE wrote in a statement that it “takes the safety of its cast members very seriously”.
He then added: “The man who attacked Seth Rollins has been handed over to the NYPD and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”
Rollins dusted himself off and continued with the show, featuring a segment with Kevin Owens.
He was participating in a tag-team event as part of WWE’s annual Survivor Series pay-per-view.
Rollins teamed up with Owens, Balor, Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory.
He faced a star-studded team of Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Sheamus, Happy Corbin and King Woods.
