Spartak Moscow manager Rui Vittoria was rebuffed by Napoli boss Luciano Spalletti when he tried to shake his hand at the end of the Europa League.
The Russian side beat Serie A 2–1 in a group game clash as two goals from the first half from Alexander Sobolev were enough to give them a win.
But the talking point came after the game when Vittoria went to shake hands with Spalletti.
The Italian coach went straight into the tunnel after the Spartak manager indicated he was not interested in hugging.
And Vittoria’s reaction was priceless as she nodded and nodded at Spalletti.
However, Napoli’s boss further explained why they decided not to shake hands.
Speaking to Sky Sports Italia after the match, Spalletti said: “He didn’t salute me before the game.
“That’s when you shake hands with another coach, not just because you won in the end.
“I always go before the game to salute the visiting coach. It’s much easier to do this later, when you’ve won.
“You should welcome someone to your stadium.”
Napoli’s defeat was the second in a row after their 3-2 loss to Inter Milan over the weekend.
