The reboot is a bid to take the “tired” franchise in a new direction
First Trailer of Upcoming Found Footage Horror Paranormal Activity: Next to Kin has been released.

The new film, which will stream exclusively on Paramount+, is a reboot of the lucrative Blumhouse franchise. According to producer Jason Blum, the franchise was “tired” and added that “there was no way to continue down the road we were down.”
“I really encouraged all the creative people to think of something new,” he said. collider.
“Many people who are going to see the new” paranormal activity was three years old when the first paranormal activity They came out, so they don’t even know about those old films.
“I thought if you were going to do it again, you actually do it again, not try and expand what we did all those years ago.”

Although plot details have been kept light, the trailer reveals that the film will follow an adopted young woman (Emily Bader) who visits an Amish community in hopes of finding her biological parents.
Upon arriving she learns that paranormal forces are at play, and mysterious circumstances surround her mother’s fate.
A feature-length documentary on the franchise is called Unknown Dimensions: The Story of Paranormal Activity Along with the release of the film, it will also release on Paramount+. The documentary aims to “give fans a deep dive into the making of ‘paranormal activity’ films with interviews that have never been seen before.”
Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin will stream on Paramount+ on October 29.
