The Isle of Wight duo (aka Ryan Teasdale and Hester Chambers) played ‘Wet Dream’, the viral hit ‘Chase Long’ as well as their recent singles ‘To Late Now’ and ‘Oh No’ in a cozy living room set- with his band.
According to an official description, the performance includes VHS clips with footage captured on modern cameras as “a wink toward his voice, which has its roots in the ’70s”.
first of the emerging group Tiny Desk The appearance comes after the announcement of their self-titled debut album, which is set to be released on April 8, 2022, via Domino’s.
In addition to the above songs, the record will include tracks such as ‘Ur Mum’, ‘Piece of Shit’, ‘I Don’t Wanna Go Out’ and ‘Supermarket’.
Wet Leg has also confirmed a new run of UK dates in January and February as part of Independent Venue Week 2022. The two were unveiled as IVW ambassadors in October.
Speaking at the time, the group explained: “We grew up in a place where we didn’t have a music venue and after living in Bristol and London, it was incredible to experience what it’s like to be part of a scene. ; To feel that sense of community that you can point to a place, place geographically, I think it’s quite important and special, especially for emerging bands and artists.
“It’s a bit of a fragile ecosystem – music producers and lovers are supported by venues and venues in turn are supported by bands/artists and their fans. The way I see it is this – no independent No location = no music scene. No community. And for me, I think it’s something that should continue to be preserved and nurtured.
