And according to ESPN+, the brave and resilient former WBC champion was taken to a Las Vegas hospital for precautionary reasons.

As a result, Wilder, 35, was conspicuously absent at the post-fight press conference.

But it was there Fury, topless with his WBC and Ring magazine belts, expressed his concern for Wilder.

He said: “Wilder is a tough guy with a big heart, I think a doctor came in the ring to check him out.

“They took a lot of punishment and it puts miles on the clock – but so did I.”

Wilder was dropped in round three and survived only to make it to the corner.

As things headed towards an opening night for Fury, it was his turn to lift himself off the canvas dramatically, but not once, twice.

Gypsy King, 33, took control of the stretch again and a big right hand at the top was on the floor again in the tenth.

And in the next round, Fury, who had won the rematch 20 months earlier, closed Show and their rivalry with a devastating KO.

He said: “It was a great fight, we rarely see the heavyweight trilogy but they never disappointed.

“The Me and Wilder saga is done for good now, it went both ways, we both had chances to win but I dug deep and wanted more of it.

“It comes down to who leads but I wasn’t ready to go to the judges.”
