“Welcome to the Guardians family, Will Poulter.”
Will Poulter has been cast in the upcoming third installment of Guardians of the Galaxy series, director James Gunn has confirmed.
The filmmaker confirmed on Twitter that the rumors about Poulter’s involvement in the film were true.

He wrote: “As you guys know I often hit on false rumours, so… um… welcome to the Guardian family, Will Poulter. He’s an amazing actor and amazing person. In a couple of weeks See you. #AdamWarlock”

According to time limitPoulter will play Adam Warlock, who was introduced in the post-credits sequence. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
Although Warlock was not seen onscreen, Elizabeth Debicki’s villain Aisha teased her involvement when she announced that she had created a perfect Sovereign (a species of Warlock) to destroy the Guardians once and for all.
Although more details about Poulter’s character have not yet been revealed, it has been suggested that Warlock will come up against Chris Pratt’s Star Lord and his crew.
time limit reported that Gunn began a long search for the man who would play Warlock in late August, with Poulter meeting several other actors for the role. It was believed that Poulter’s test was too good to pass.
Earlier this month, Gunn teased that the upcoming holiday special The film will introduce a legendary character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the series.
The special is set to release on Disney+ next year, and will set up some events for the third volume of Guardians of the Galaxy, currently expected to arrive in 2023.
