New York – New York police are searching for a man wanted for repeatedly punching a woman in a sex attack in a Bronx park.
The NYPD says it happened around 9:10 p.m. Sunday at Soundview Park’s playground.
A man approached the 53-year-old woman and pulled her hair, causing her to fall to the ground. Then he sat on top of her, covered his mouth, applied pressure to her neck, and began to touch her body to her clothes.
The woman was successful in screaming, at the same time the attacker repeatedly punched her in the face. During the assault, the 25-year-old cousin of the victim heard her scream and came forward to help her.
The cousin captured the attacker but he managed to free himself and run west through the park. He was last seen walking east on Brueckner Boulevard.
