“This role hasn’t been easy for me”
hell Bound Actor Yoo Ah-in has discussed the critical acclaim of the hit Netflix series as well as his personal views on it.

During a recent interview Korea Jong Ang Daily, Yu discussed the series’ positive reception from critics and fans alike. The show topped Netflix’s list of top 10 TV shows in its first week of release, and remains high in the latter’s ranking.
“Within Korea, I hear some people say this is the best act I’ve had in my career,” Yu said. “This role hasn’t been easy for me, but I wanted to push my limits and I deeply appreciate that people appreciated me for that.”
The star also touched on how he felt about the success of hell Bound Beyond the Borders of South Korea, adding that he was “surprised that people already knew me and some said they could ‘believe’ the projects in which I appear because they are good.” He said the feedback allowed him to feel “more confident” to “continue to pursue his career as an actor”.
Elsewhere during the interview, Yoo’s co-stars, Kim Hyun-joo and Park Jeong-min, also shared some personal anecdotes about how the success of the show reached them. “It’s still amazing to see comments in foreign languages on Instagram or YouTube clips,” Park said. “But I’m curious about how he saw and interpreted my character.”
During this, hell Bound Director Yeon Sang-ho previously revealed that there are currently no plans to produce a second season. “The story will be told first via webtoon later,” Yeon said, “and should we want to turn this into another live-action series, that’s something we’ll need to discuss further.”
