Around 5 p.m. in Fort Worth, Texas, as the April evening sun scattered divine rays of light onto the concrete walls of the venue, Brittany Dawn Davis began baptizing women in horseshoes.
Wearing a black sweatshirt emblazoned with the word “Mercy”—a nod to Mercy culture, a local megachurch—and her white-blonde hair extensions tied in a loose ponytail, Davis erupted from those watching “Woo!”.
Most of the women looked younger than 30 years old. some trembled; Some cry and smile and seek his blessings. A live band playing soft music served as the backdrop for several videos and reels to be filmed, all of which will soon be posted on Instagram and TikTok.
