In this daily series, Granthshala explores the steps that led to the January 6 Capitol riots.

“The Foundations are ready for one of the best years we’ve ever had,” Donald Trump said in 45 Minutes. video teleconference on Thanksgiving, 26 November, speaking to service members around the world, pointing to a second term. It will be a shocking performance for them as well.

“Our country is doing very well. It is the highest honor of my life to serve as your Commander-in-Chief,” he said. The President then summoned specific units and commanders to Kuwait, to the Red Sea, to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, and with his new Space Force, as he repeated several times.

“You keep an eye around the world to detect missile launches, space launches and nuclear explosions while providing critical intelligence,” he told the commander of the 11th Space Warning Squadron in Colorado. “You are all pioneers in the newest branch of our armed forces.”

“We are building our army,” he bragged. “We’ve spent $2.5 trillion in the last three-and-a-half years. And we don’t have anything like that. … All new tanks and missiles and rockets,” it all has to be delivered over the next six to 12 months. “It’s all made in the USA.”

Speaking to the commander and crew of the destroyer USS Winston Churchill, Trump said: “We’re building a lot of ships right now, as you know, and you’ll get to them very soon.”

Speaking to a Coast Guard unit in Cuba, he said: “You have brand new Coast Guard ships, and it’s an honor for me to have them for you.”

Trump said, ‘You know, when we took power, we had very little military. “You know this very well.”

“When I came in four years ago – almost four years ago it was hard to believe – we were sad. And now we are in phenomenal shape.”

“We went from old planes to new planes,” he told an air force commander in the Middle East, “from planes that were very stealthy where you can’t see them.”

“One president – four years, no war,” he went on. “We stopped the wars. And as you know, we won 100 percent of the ISIS caliphate in Syria and Iraq. We’ve done one thing.”

Half a dozen commanders from around the world gave solemn prepared remarks, describing their missions, thanking their men and women. Donald Trump hardly paid attention to members of the armed forces, instead focusing on their greatness and their claimed achievements. Nothing but the Space Force, the president can rightfully be credited with. The United States was still “at war” throughout the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. No ships or tanks or airplanes were being produced at any higher rate than in the previous three administrations. Trump was not responsible in any way for the stealth plane. And though President Barack Obama may have promised disarmament and defense spending cuts, there was no real reduction, and America’s troops were in the same position they were for a decade.

At one point the President appeared to wander in conversation with himself. “Thank you very much,” he said. “It’s great. It’s really great. Are you a golfer? Do you play golf? You love it, don’t you? It’s cool. It’s great. Thank you very much. Exercise’s sole Roop. Thank you very much. I appreciate it.. And really, everyone, just congratulations.”

When a soldier asked if the president had plans for Thanksgiving, Trump proceeded to talk about the elections. “They’re finding tremendous discrepancies in votes. No one believes those numbers. Those numbers are the wrong numbers.” He talked about false ballots and recounts and fake signatures; The more he talked, the more he became lost in his own head, as unreliable members of the armed forces tried to intervene.

“But…,” he said.

“Mr. President…,” he said, asking more than once whether the President would accept the election.

Trump talked to him. “We’re like a third world country. We have machines that no one knows what they’re looking at. I mean, you take a look at all the mistakes they’ve made.”

Michigan. Pennsylvania. Georgia. Wisconsin. Arizona. Texas. He mentioned them all. “We’ll see what happens. No one wants to see what kind of fraud has happened in this election… has really come to represent.”

“They want to get rid of ‘America First,'” he told soldiers, sailors, airmen and women, Marines, Coast Guard and Space Force guardians on the call, “I mean, they want to get rid of ‘America First. ‘ They don’t want ‘America first.’ You know why? Because China doesn’t want that. China expressed its wish: ‘Please get rid of ‘America first.’ And the Biden administration said, ‘Oh, that’s right’ We will get rid of ‘America First’.

“So I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he continued. “I know one thing: Joe Biden didn’t get 80 million votes. It was a rigged election – 100 percent – and people know it … People say votes are counted overseas.”

Referring to the upcoming Senate runoff vote in Georgia, he spoke of the Democratic nominee, not remembering his name. “But he’s either a communist or a socialist. Maybe communist. It’s not for Georgia.”

At one point, the conversation was interrupted while watching the show by an unknown reporter in the Oval Office.

“Won’t you agree?” He asked.

“It’s a possibility they’re trying to see among you guys…”

“Just answer the question about the concession,” the reporter pressed.

Trump said, “Don’t talk to me like that.”

“I’m sorry, sir, that’s all I’m telling you…”

“You’re just one – you’re just a mild,” Trump spat.

“Answer the question about the concession,” repeated the reporter.

Trump said, “Don’t talk to me—don’t talk to me—I’m the President of the United States. Never talk to a president like that.”

“Sir, I’m just asking you to answer the question about the concession,” said the reporter.

“Okay,” Trump replied. “I’m leaving with one more question. Go ahead.”

But Trump did not ask another question. He continued to talk for another 10 minutes, talking about fraud and a stolen election as the reporter continued his questions, asking several times to admit why the president was not casting the actual bogus vote. were about to leave the White House. Donald Trump spoke. At one point he called Republican Georgia Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, an “enemy of the people.”

“If the media in this country were honest – which, you know, for the most part, they are not – this would never have happened,” he said.

“What they did is use COVID to deceive the people of this country. And the whole world is watching and the whole world is laughing at our electoral process. The whole world is watching. And it’s a very sad thing. A very sad thing.”

“You know it’s a tradition for past presidents to go to the inauguration of the next president. So would you join Joe Biden?” The reporter asked.

“I don’t want to say that right now,” replied the President.
