Yungblud teases “surprise” event in London tomorrow

Yungblood has revealed in a cryptic message posted on social media that tomorrow (November 30) fans have a surprise for him.

“Meet me tomorrow (30th) at 3PM at Camden Market,” he wrote in the post. “I have a surprise.”

Fans are responding enthusiastically to his announcement, with some expressing disappointment that only London audiences will get to see the star. One person tweeted: “Petition for people from outside London to do a live gig,” with another “dude I’m not going to be able to go to London”.

Yungblood recently featured in a massive all-star charity cover of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Everywhere. Recorded for the BBC Children in Need, Anne-Marie and Niall Horan led the cover of the 1987 track, which featured an all-star backing band including Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, Lewis Capaldi and Griff.

The musician was also one of the performers at the recent MTV EMAs in Budapest. He received the Best Alternative award at the ceremony, which was hosted by Sveti.

In his speech while taking the award, Yungblood said: “If you’re out and about and you feel like you can’t be who you are – you can be. Keep fighting, keep being talented.”

For his ‘Fleabag’ performance, Yungblood played in front of a giant pile of amps while the stage was engulfed in flames.

Elsewhere, Yungblood is set to release its first short film Mars planet Which is “an uncensored, unfiltered portrayal of youth” based on the singer’s 2020 song of the same name.

The story of the film, which is a collaboration between Mercury Studios and Interscope Films, is based around Charlie Ekster, a young fan met on a Yungblood tour, who is struggling to convince his parents that he is are transgender.
